Ph'A' School Class 13-47:

This came in from Stretch Walsh

PH "A" School started 9 June "47", one of the only class photo's that I know of. Classes were in Bldg. "52" & Bldg. 18 NAS Pensacola , we moved barracks to Bldg 1500 in July or Aug. "47", just before Hurricane of Sept. "47". Class composite made when we started school 9 June "47", there are 4 of us still above ground that I know to have remained in long enough to retire. CDR Roger Jenkins, LCDR Hal Conklin , PHCS Ron Kelley & myself.
James (Stretch)Walsh PHCS-USN-Ret.

New "Old" Images from Pensacola:

I just got a few photos from Bill Irwin showing the NATTU Color Guard in front of Building 1500 way back in the day. I'm going to add them to the photo albums later but I thought you might like seeing them first.

It's interesting that these photos should show up now because Building 1500 is being converted into the new Headquarters building for NAS Pensacola. Our official Historian Art Giberson is leading the effort to establish a Memorial/Museum to Naval Photography on or near the new Quarterdeck. More info to follow as it becomes available.
