NANP 2011 Convention Online Registration form

This is where you register for the convention events you plan on attending and make your payment. Each event has a dropdown menu with four options so make sure you choose the number of people attending each event and add each item to the cart.
You can also download the registration form and mail it to Nora Filos, 1901 Houma Blvd, Metairie, LA 70001 with your check if you prefer.

IMPORTANT NOTE:This registration form has nothing to do with your hotel reservations...this is just for NANP Convention events so don't get confused. You'll still need to make your Hotel Reservations separately and directly with the hotel.

Sponsor A Sailor Program:
We all know how important this program is so I'm adding it to the top of the page. We are running a mini Shoot Off during the convention so if you choose to support our on going training program this is your opportunity.

If you'd like to help cover convention expenses for our active duty members you can do that here as well.

Just follow the link to our Sponsor A Sailor page to make a tax deductable donation.

Schedule Of Events

Thursday September 15, 2011:
0830-1200 WWII Museum Tour (Short Trolley Ride from the hotel, walking distance for some.)
1400- Executive Board Meeting
1800-2100: Meet and greet at the hotel including Buffet Dinner.

Saturday, September 17, 2011:
1000- General Membership Meeting
1800-2300 Banquet Dinner

Note On Transportation: We are renting a large van for the duration of the convention so we have transportation covered even if it means two or three trips. There is no prearranged transportation to and from the airport and the hotel does not have an internal shuttle service. There is a commercial shuttle service available to and from the airport and its $20.00 per-person. A taxi is only $15.00 per-person.

We do not plan on running the NANP Van to and from the airport on any kind of regular schedule. We don't have a duty driver and we're not going to keep track of individual arrival times. I'll try to get a phone number that our members can call to check the availability of the van once you arrive at the airport but I'm not guaranteeing it. It's an hour round trip from the hotel to the airport and back so I'm not going to ask anyone to make that trip to pick up one person.

3 DAY Unlimited Bus / Streetcar Pass is $12.00 and you can buy them from the driver. Keep in mind seniors can ride any bus or streetcar for only .40 and get a transfer ticket for the return trip so it's up to you to decide if a $12.00 pass is worth the money.

Guillaume Duparc's sugar farming complex was originally called l'habitation Duparc, then, years later, renamed the Laura Plantation. At its largest size, it was approximately 12,000 acres, which included properties amassed over time. In 1804, Duparc, a French naval veteran of the American Revolution, petitioned Thomas Jefferson for property. Duparc received a valuable plot of land and Jefferson secured Duparc's loyalty to the new United States.
